Welcome to the Web Site of the Rotary Club of Alexandria, VA

 

    Over the past 83 years we have distinguished ourselves in  many ways.  Our membership stands at 133, including 30 women and 6 honorary members.  We also have 6 members with over 50 years service who are still very active.  Our largest annual charity event, "Taste For Giving," raised more than $35,000 last year.  Each Christmas season, club members ring the bell for the Salvation Army on a Saturday.  Kettle proceeds the past two years totaled over $28,000. Responding to the recent Haiti earthquake, club members donated more than $8,600 for shelters.

Finally, in keeping with our "Service Above Self" motto, our club members donate countless hours of volunteer service throughout the community.

Our club members support the ideals of The Rotary Foundation and last year made over $100,000 in financial commitments to it's international efforts, including cash donations in the excess of $50,000 to the 'Every Rotarian Every Year' program.
